American girl living in Hawaii--has tracked with others help the MCCurdy, McKirdy, Makuererdy line back to 1425 to 1650's, when some brothers sailed or rowed away to Ballintoy, Antrim, North Ireland. Are there any McCurdy's left in Bute ? Would any historian's be able to refer me to any Bite history, where my clan may have been recorded ? Also, they supposedly married into the Stewart line 1639 and 1640. I am wondering if there is any truth that they may be "Royal" cousins.
