Hello there,

I am interested in finding out some more information about Duncan Hoyle. Can any one help me out? He helped to develop Port Bannatyne in the 19th century. My interest in him is that he was the brother in law of one of my distant family relatives, who like Duncan, made his fortune in Australia. I have little information on him other than already provided on your website. Any information at all about him and his family would be very welcome indeed.
Thank you very much for your time

Hiya, am looking for info of the Gillies family who lived on Isle of Bute for some time. My partner's mother is Gladys Muirhead Gillies, her parents were William (born in Tarbert 02/01/1896) & Catherine Gillies. His parents were Neil & Catherine Gillies(nee Murdoch). Now, I think Neil's parents were William & Annie Gillies. Any info greatly received.
