I am interested in finding out some more information about Duncan Hoyle. Can any one help me out? He helped to develop Port Bannatyne in the 19th century. My interest in him is that he was the brother in law of one of my distant family relatives, who like Duncan, made his fortune in Australia. I have little information on him other than already provided on your website. Any information at all about him and his family would be very welcome indeed.

in his home in Quay St or Shore St about 1802 . Involved in the notorious McArthur affair .
Large family and a number emigrated to Delaware Co NY in the 1820s . Other branch
